AVID Emerge: Empowering and Engaging Multilingual Learners (2024–25)
AVID Emerge is a transformative offering designed for secondary multilingual educators designed to elevate student engagement, facilitate access to rigorous content, and cultivate student agency. By integrating language domains and leveraging AVID’s college and career readiness skills, educators empower students to harness their unique backgrounds and life experiences. This professional learning experience is focused on how to use the content available in the AVID Emerge Digital Toolkit, which includes adaptable strategies and routines for face-to-face, blended, or virtual learning environments. AVID Emerge emphasizes intentional design and delivery, supports language development for multilingual learners, and amplifies student voices through scaffolded opportunities for expression.

This session is available as a part of:
2-day professional learning hosted at a face-to-face location across the United States yearlong provides an excellent way to broaden or deepen the ongoing improvement of instruction and comprehensive culture of student success within your school setting.
Four 3-hour professional learning modules through a virtual platform using videoconferencing provide a high-paced, interactive, dynamic learning experience while modeling engaging and rigorous instruction. There will also be opportunities to engage in One-to-One Collaborative Coaching.
