AVID EBINDERS USING MICROSOFT ONENOTE CLASS NOTEBOOK
An AVID eBinder using a Microsoft OneNote Class Notebook makes it easy to share, collaborate, organize, and review student work.
How is an eBinder organized?
The eBinder using OneNote is organized into units of instruction using section tabs. Each section tab contains task pages, which are smaller chunks of learning content, like a lesson, activity, lab, or step in a process. Task pages are organized into four elements:
-
Essential
QuestionThe essential question is used by students to guide thinking and frame note-taking in order to accomplish an authentic task.
Focused
Note-TakingA five-phase note-taking process that can be used and adapted for various note-taking purposes and embraces a variety of note-taking formats.
Learning
ArtifactsA student-created product in which students capture the learning that happened in class and revise it in order to add the metacognitive hooks that support deeper understanding and recall of information.
Learning
BlogA place for students to synthesize what and how they learn through writing.
-
Save everything in your eBinder.
A successful classroom is one that has a blend of traditional and digital work, yet all this work must be documented in a singular location. Students can use their devices to take pictures or record videos to document their learning process.
The Office Lens app allows students to upload images and video directly from their camera into OneNote. Office Lens can also convert images into editable Word and PowerPoint files.
