Completion of Four-Year College Entrance Requirements

 

Overall, more than 90% of California AVID students have completed their four-year college entrance requirements. This achievement is between 1.5 and four times the national average in just about every category.

Another key element for college readiness is rigorous coursework, like the AP exam. A substantially higher proportion of AVID graduates took at least one AP exam when compared to the U.S. overall. This difference is especially evident across ethnic groups.
